John Barry in March 1991 after receiving the Academy Award (Oscar) for his music for the Kevin Costner film Dances With Wolves. Barry won five Oscars, more than any other British Oscar winners: Born Free (score), Born Free (song), The Lion in Winter (score), Out of Africa (score), Dances With Wolves (score). John Barry was also nominated for two other Academy Awards: Mary, Queen of Scots and Chaplin.
