Barry won five Oscars, more than any other British Oscar winners: Born Free (score), Born Free (song), The Lion in Winter (score), Out of Africa (score), Dances With Wolves (score). John Barry was also nominated for two other Academy Awards: Mary, Queen of Scots and Chaplin.
